Your Role
As a (Project) Engineer, you will be responsible for a broad range of technical and project management tasks, including:
- Designing technical plans and detailed drawings for both new build and refit ship projects.
- Regularly coordinating with clients, suppliers, and colleagues to ensure plans and solutions fully meet expectations.
- Creating and maintaining detailed project schedules, identifying key project components and timelines.
- Collaborating with colleagues to transform sketches and ideas into final drawings using software like AutoCAD, HiCad, and Rhino.
- Submitting and revising technical documents and drawings for regulatory bodies and classification societies.
- Collecting and properly archiving certifications and technical documentation for various project components.
- Coordinating with the finance department for periodic and final project cost tracking.
- Working closely with project managers and the procurement department to ensure smooth project progress.
Your Profile
We are looking for an engineer who:
- Has completed an MBO+ or HBO level education in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering, has a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, marine engineering, industrial design or related field.
- Has experience with software like AutoCAD, HiCad, and/or Rhino.
- Previous experience with shipbuilding, marine design.
- Is proficient in English, in both written and spoken forms, dutch is also preferable.
- Holds a VCA certificate or is willing to obtain one.
- Works accurately and has a strong sense of commercial awareness and quality.
- Is interested in diving into the requirements and regulations of the maritime industry.
